Carly Meiser LM CPM
Born and raised in Washington, I was fortunate to grow up with a loving family who has supported me through every endeavor. A dancer throughout college, I had visions of opening a dance studio or becoming a personal trainer. I graduated from Western Washington University with a B.S. in Community Health and I will never forget the urgency I felt as I sat in my global health class, learning of health crisis’ facing women and families around the world. Somehow, I wanted to be a small part of the solution.
After graduating college in 2010, my journey into birth began with a doula workshop at Bastyr. I then completed a Midwifery Academic program with Mercy in Action in Boise, ID in 2012. Three months later, I was living in the border town and deserts of El Paso, TX, attending Maternidad La Luz Midwifery School. As the busiest birth center in the country, they deliver 60-90 babies per month and after a year I had attended 96! Majority of the care I provided during school was conducted in Spanish, serving women from Mexico. It was the most tiring and rewarding year of my life. I earned my CPM credential while still in El Paso and returned to Washington in April of 2014 to assist local midwives and earn my Washington License.
As a midwife, I want women to feel involved in their care. I am here to discuss, listen, and guide, helping each client make informed decisions surrounding their pregnancy. Preparing to become parents is an exciting journey and I feel so fortunate to be able to witness the process.
